Goucher College’s Center for the Study of Modern Language, Literature, and Cultures invites applications for a visiting resident instructor to begin Fall 2019 for a one-year position. The appointment may be renewed for a second academic year upon recommendation of the Center Director and the Provost. The ideal candidate will be a native of a Francophone country, have a Maîtrise (preferably in FLE), experience teaching French as a foreign language, and be able to teach language courses from the beginning level to the intermediate level. A commitment to teaching excellence and teaching experience are required. Please discuss your teaching philosophy and methods in your cover letter. In addition to compensation (salary and benefits) as a full-time instructor, the successful candidate will receive an apartment on campus. Position responsibilities include teaching, living on campus, and organizing French activities in the Language House.
